“Looking In, Looking Out” – The Infirmary Museum, Worcester

I was commissioned by the Infirmary Museum – part of Worcester University – to work with people living with dementia and their carers.  I was involved with a large number of participants over several months who came from dementia cafes, care homes and local clubs.  Together, the groups looked at what home meant to them and developed glass work pieces starting with individual items that were important, progressing through the home until they viewed the world outside. .

The completed pieces were assembled into house forms to denote the exploration of the inner world and the confidence needed to explore the outside.  The resulting exhibition was part of the Worcester Festival.
